LIST so far of burnermax payload tool compateble drives. Discussion in 'Xbox 360 Firmware Modding Tutorials' started by Natural Troll, Mar 20, 2013 with 34 replies and 65,087 views. Mar 12, 2013 That's been my experience anyway. The Liteon iHASx24 B, C and D revisions are also good, but sometimes require a little tweaking of settings and a few coasters depending on your system. Lightning UK has done extensive testing of both burners, BurnerMax Payload Tool, and the Verbatim media, which can be found in this forum.
Actually I have the same problem as TiTAn.I'm going to try to explain the problem.I want to burn XGD3 games for xbox 360 with my iHas 124C drive. It is full compatible with that and everything works on win7. The problem to burn a XGD3 game is that you need a special program called burnermax payload tool, which then sends a command to the drive to allow it to overburn the DVD. (Instead of 8.5GB it can write 8.7GB to a dual layer disc).I tried using wine /path/to/BurnerMax.exe it then said I need install mono 2.6 to run.NET v1.1 applicationsI then used the commandwinetricks dotnet11 and installed the appropriate.NET versionSurely the program opened, but it's not working properly as it does not find any DVD drives.BurnerMAX Payload Tool - Version: 0.15Found 0 CD/DVD drivesit is also printing a lot of stuff on the terminal where I ran the wine commmand.
What should I be looking in there to post here and to help you to help me resolve this issue?Anyway, since ImgBurn version 2.5.8.0 burnermax is integrated into ImgBurn, but according to some people it is causing trouble, so I figured I would try the old fashion way with the original program. Ksenchy most people stuff up badly with this overburning stuff. IHas124C drive not been flashed with iXtreme Burner Max Firmware?

Right This is a alteration to the firmware of the drive to allow burning past 8.5G it only has to be done once. So simplest just connect drive up to windows machine and do it. There are linux tools out there to apply the iXtreme Burner Max Firmware alteration as well. After the iXtreme Burner Max Firmware the Linux default burning tools will burn 8.5 DVD+ discs out to 8.7 GIssue here if the iXtreme Burner Max Firmware is applied to the drive the drive is no longer BurnerMAX Payload compatible.
Even if it listed as compatible. Anyway, since ImgBurn version 2.5.8.0 burnermax is integrated into ImgBurn, but according to some people it is causing trouble, so I figured I would try the old fashion way with the original program.Mind you I don't know about burnermax stuff for copying xbox 360 discs but for coping video surveillance footage. ImgBurn burnermax has caused me problems due to completely failing due to thinking it had a drive that was burnermax compatible that was not. So I went and investigated what this burnermax thing I was having to remember to turn off so I could get copies. Oiaohm wrote:ksenchy most people stuff up badly with this overburning stuff. Even if it listed as compatible3rd party firmware is only available for iHas124B (and other driver that are crossflashable to 124B), and not iHas124C and yes that would permanently solve the issue with 8,5GB and 8,7GB, but according to a few forums they are saying that 124C does not have enough built in memory (ROM) for that FW upgrade.Thank you anyway.
