banff22 | posted 08-07-2005 04:33 PM ET (US) Does anyone have the manuals for the MT2 and MT3 Morse controls they could send me? Email or fax. I'm having some concerns and would like to know how to service and adjust the controls. I have the exploded parts diagrams already. I ask for both models because I'm unsure which one I have and boat is 3 hours from me. Thanks, Peter |
banff22 | posted 08-08-2005 10:35 AM ET (US) I thought I'd give this a little bump now that everyone should be back from their weekend cruising. Thanks Peter |
banff22 | posted 08-08-2005 05:40 PM ET (US) Sue Lodel at Twin Cities had the MT-2 but not the MT-3 and she thinks it's the MT-3 I'll need. Thank you Sue. Anyone with the MT-3 information? It's the single by the way. Peter |
banff22 | posted 08-09-2005 03:25 PM ET (US) I now have them both. Thanks to those that contacted me directly. Much easier when you have an email address in your profile. Now armed with these and my unique mechancial skills I figure I now have at least a 50/50 chance of not screwing it up ;) Peter |
kitebuz | posted 04-25-2006 11:42 AM ET (US) I just purchased a MT3 from ebay, and would also like to get a copy of the manual for it. Does anyone still have one available via e-mail or fax. My e-mail is: [email protected] Thanks. |
DaveS | posted 04-25-2006 10:36 PM ET (US) I know this is really going to be a dumb question but, what's the difference? I have one of them at home but I'm not sure if it's a MT2 or MT3... Thanks! |
kitebuz | posted 04-26-2006 03:17 PM ET (US) Thanks to cdnwhaler for sending me the manual. There are some slight size differences between the MT2 & 3. Most of the changes are internal - just updated design. The MT-3 has a pressure drag system tp prevent throttle creep, and they designed the mt-3 to have the neutral safety switch mount integrated in the housing vs an add on plate. You can tell the difference by looking at them. The MT2 has a vertical open slot up each side of the base - long & narrow. The MT3 has two smaller open slots at an angle that are more tear drop shaped. Also, from the ones I've seen, the small sticker on the butt of the levers are different. The MT2 says Morse and MT2 below it. The MT3 just says Morse. |
